Toronto-based immigration lawyer Guidy Mamann outlines the security risks involved in Canada’s fast-tracking of Syrian refugees and he questions the value of processing so many refugees quickly, suggesting it may be at the expense of public safety, asking “How do we check the veracity of those documents?”
Recently Mamann testified about Canada’s policy towards Syrian refugees in Washington, D.C. to the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs. He expressed his concern about the pace at which Canada is taking and said it might be a bit too much, which could cause unique challenges for our country.
