What we need to know about CCP’s launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile

On the evening of Oct 1, Iran fired waves of around 180 ballistic missiles at Israel. Many of the missiles were intercepted with the help of the United States, but some fell in central and southern Israel.

Behind the Iranian strikes on Israel, the CCP is providing tactics, intelligence, materials, weapons, and industrial systems to reinforce the axis of evil against the West. To note, hours before Iranian strikes, the Chinese Eastern Theater Command launched a promo video titled “DongFeng Po (东风破),” boasting of the CCP’s military power, especially advanced DongFeng missiles.

Originally, “Dongfeng Po” was a form of Chinese opera during the Yuan Dynasty. However, the literal meaning of the title can be interpreted as “Break (the enemy) using DongFeng (missiles).” Because of the popular song “Dongfeng Po” by “King of Mandopop” Jay Chou in Taiwan, CCP hints that the DF missiles are deployed to strengthen deterrence in Taiwan. At the end of the propaganda, it says, “Dongfeng missiles can hit anywhere CCP-PLA wants (东风快递,指哪打哪).” (http://www.xinhuanet.com/milpro/20241002/a94535258a6f4864a4a787204b468f71/c.html)

Back on Sep 25, the PLA Rocket Force launched an ICBM (intercontinental ballistic missile) carrying a dummy warhead to the high seas in the Pacific Ocean at 08:44 am. Chinese Ministry of Defense claims that the missile fell into expected sea areas, splashing north of Tahiti in French Polynesia. Moreover, CCP announced, “This test launch is a routine arrangement in our annual training plan. It is in line with international law and international practice and is not directed against any country or target.” (http://www.mod.gov.cn/gfbw/qwfb/16340551.html)

However, Beijing notified “the relevant countries,” including the US, only one day before the missile test with inaccurate information. Other countries, including Japan, Taiwan, and Kiribati, didn’t receive notice. Instead, China has issued a navigation warning saying that “space debris” has appeared in three areas of the South China Sea, the Pacific Ocean north of Luzon Island in the Philippines, and the South Pacific Ocean. To further confuse the outside, one hour before the ICBM launch, China launched the Lijian-1 Yaosi commercial launch vehicle from Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, putting five satellites into orbits. The Jiuquan center is over 3000km north of Hainan, where the ICBM was launched (http://www.news.cn/science/20240925/6ed5b99369bd4a008d5d1b3f9eca4db6/c.html)

Xi Jinping is satisfied with the confidential preparation of the surprise launch by PLA’s Rocket Force, which was a great success of CCP’s deceptive tactics and advanced information war.

Since the summer of 2023, various disinformation about “corruption scandals and political purge in PLA’s Rocket Force” arose from social media to mainstream media. The widely cited “sources” came from both CCP’s information military and fake Chinese dissidents. After a while, it formed the well-accepted narrative that “Xi Jinping is struggling against many disloyal commanders and senior officials in the Rocket Force, and the potential coups make Xi’s regime unstable.” (https://www.cnn.com/2024/01/05/china/china-xi-military-purge-analysis-intl-hnk/index.html)

Hence, the public and policymakers would let down their guard against the Xi-CCP regime and make wrong judgments about Xi’s ambitions and their relations with Communist China.

Meanwhile, the entire operation of the ICBM test was covert, and no one knew it until the launch from the public to the Vice Chairman of CCP’s Central Military Commission, and even to current Commander of Rocket Force. It was carried out secretly by a separate military-civil team under Xi Jinping’s clandestine office. Previously, our sources in CCP-PLA have told us how Xi‘s clandestine office works.

So, what do we know about the ICBM that was launched? According to CCP’s propaganda (https://www.guancha.cn/ChenFeng3/2024_09_26_749845.shtml), it is a DF-31AG missile combined boost-glide technology and hypersonic technology, which is capable of hitting the targets in a range of 20,000 km.

CCP also emphasizes that “for reference, the linear distance from Northeast China to California in the US is about 8,000 kilometers”. In other words, it’s a remarkable threat. Notably, It verifies the classified intelligence we revealed via Lude Media in 2022 that the PLA has confirmed two available missile paths to hit the continental US from Northeast China across the Arctic. The start point is in Mohe (漠河), Heilongjiang province. The targets are the DC-New York area and the largest military base in TX (https://www.youtube.com/live/OWZOpLP_Os4?si=22tEepzF8bwJPo1o)

Furthermore, PLA is building a movable nuclear missile system composed of at least three large underground silo sites, like underground secret tunnels of Hamas. The missile can be maneuvered underground between the silos. It is supposed to launch hundreds to thousands of warheads from the silos.

From CCP’s perspective, it will take another 6-8 years to achieve nuclear parity with the US. “Nuclear parity” means that once the war begins, China will be able to destroy the US with nuclear weapons. Nuclear parity is the prerequisite of China’s nuclear threat against the US.

Another purpose of this missile launch is to scare the US aircraft carriers. Once CCP takes the offensive against Taiwan, it would threaten to destroy the US aircraft carriers with the ICBM carrying tactical nuclear weapons. However, DF31-AG has no cutting-edge technology. Instead, given its limited bomb load and lack of practical parameters for the effect of loading a nuclear warhead, it is of little practical value.
