At Canada’s Defence Perspectives 2020-2050: Recapitalization and the Canadian Forces conference on March 29, 2016, Lieutenant-General Marquis Hainse, Commander of the Canadian Army, described the need for the forces to be able to engage successfully at different points in the conflict spectrum, he also explained how the CAF is looking for solutions to acquire essential capabilities to ensure continued success in deployed environments.
This is one of the final public appearances by LtGen Hainse in Canada. He will soon serve as the military representative at NATO Headquarters in Brussels.
