Ian Litschko

A life-long student of Russia, Ian has spent years living in and traveling throughout the post-Soviet space. He holds two Masters Degrees, one from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (МГИМО) and another from Carleton University. He has also lived in Tartu, Estonia, and spent time as a visiting researcher at the Northern Arctic Federal University (САФУ) in Arkhangelsk, Russia. Ian has written extensively on Russian and post-Soviet security matters both in academic and corporate settings, as well as for NGOs. He currently serves as the Senior Russia Analyst for CGI’s Threat Intelligence Cell.
